STRAWBERRY sú talún

Member of the Rosaceae family and valued in early Ireland for their “cumra” sweet taste, strawberries are among the most beloved of fruits. Found along hedgerows, river banks and roadsides the five petalled white flowers form in loose clusters and bloom from April to July. Strawberries are unique in that their seeds are on the outside. Strawberry plants multiply by sending out runners along the ground.
